• can conceal logical particles by replacing them
  • e.g.,　私も(+が)うなぎです。
• can mark the topic when used instead of は
  • e.g.,　私もケーキが好きです。
• attached to question words:
  • 誰も、何も
    • 誰もいない -> not even someone
    • 誰でも -> even if it is anyone
    • ‘as much as’ / ‘even’
