Vibe coding is turning software creation into a game of chance. It looks like engineering, but the underlying mechanism is closer to a slot machine. Your prompt is the pseudo seed for a nondeterministic process, and the output your prize.

If the output is a miss, you don’t debug. You simply pull the lever again.

In a world where 9-to-5 jobs are stigmatized and often looked down on, the Vibe Coding Slot Machine provides a way out: if you win - that is you generate an app that let’s you become a founder - you win money and social status. It’s a jackpot worth more than that of a casino. After all, anyone can win in a casino, but not everyone can be a founder.

In my social circle, and also online, I’m seeing Vibe Coding become a new cool hobby - even amongst non-technical people. Suddenly everyone’s building a SaaS in their free time after work. Some people are skipping birthday parties because they have to manage their Claude Code swarms.

Don’t get my wrong, this entrepreneurship isn’t inherently a bad thing. I’m just seeing a potential future in which the Redpill community is jumping on the bandwagon, instrumentalize Vibe Coding as a slot machine, and sell it as a cure to a large audience, similar to how it happened with crypto investing.
